Our journey began about a year ago as my wife and I began looking at hot tubs and swim spas around town. It picked up speed one Saturday last summer.
One weekend last summer I made way to the Hot Tub & Swim Spa exhibit at the city’s convention center. I visited on Saturday and again on Sunday.
As mentioned, my wife and I had pondered investing in something like these.
I walked into the convention center and was welcomed by a selection of about about 20 hot tubs and 3 swim spas. The show featured about 6 lines of spas and hot tubs. Among them:
This is a big benefit of a show like this – seeing multimple models on display. You don’t realize how different a hot tub is until you see them side by side.
I enjoyed looking at the various hot tubs, but it didn’t take long for me to see the potential extra benefits that could be reaped via a Swim Spa. My interest was definately piqued!
I called my wife and described all that I’d seen and gave her my opinion about the swim spas. She, too, was interested!
I sat down and talked with a salesman and determined that the ‘Trainer 15″ in the H2X Swim Spa line from MasterSpa would meet our needs the best. It comes in 12″, 15″, 18″, and 19″ models. They are 51″ tall. There are also deeper 15′, 18′, and 19’ models which are 60″ tall.
We chose the regular (not the deep) 15″. It comes with a cover, steps, exercise equipment and a starter set of chemicals. We added the SoftTread mat and are very glad that we did.
